More About Ashlee —

Ashlee is a wife and mother to her four children, 2 boys, and 2 girls.

Ashlee, a reluctant homeschooler for years, now, can’t imagine life any other way. Ashlee has a heart for encouraging women to care for themselves physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally throughout the homeschooling journey that can, at times, be all-consuming.

That was the heart and motivation behind Grace and Grit, her YouTube channel that she started four years ago and continues to share their real-time homeschooling journey weekly. Ashlee makes it through her homeschooling days with ALL of God's Grace, a little bit of Grit, and a huge cup of coffee.

My Story

I grew up fast and had kind of a rough start until the Lord called out to me and placed a mission and calling of motherhood on my heart -- the desire to have the idea of “family” be different than what I experienced. He gave me a purpose in the way I mothered and operated my home. The way I show my family that I love them and what it really means to be a wife and mom. Something I didn’t get to experience.

After going through my earliest years of motherhood with 4 under 4 and feeling isolated and lonely, like I just couldn’t figure out who I was or how I could make this mom thing work. Until God spoke to me loudly again and told me to bring my kids home to be educated. Homeschooling was never on my radar, but I took that leap and left it all behind, including my community, and began to feel that same isolation yet again. Out of that same heart of encouragement, I decided to start a YouTube channel dedicated to sharing the authentic journey of homeschooling. After this drastic change, that heart birthed the community of Grace and Grit on YouTube and Instagram. It is always my hope and desire to share real, applicable, helpful things. Like a friend extending a hand to another so that we can love our families the best we can. Be the healthiest and happiest versions of ourselves, and do this thing called motherhood with intention, passion, and purpose.
