All the Fall

As we enter the “ber” months and the brisk cool weather starts to permeate the air, I can’t help but get excited. I LOVE fall. I love the splash of red, orange, and yellow that cover the trees. I love wearing my favorite sweaters and snuggling up with Jake as we sit by the fire pit drinking a glass of wine. I love decorating my home with all the cozy home decor.  I love spending time with my kids in the kitchen, baking up all the delicious smelling pumpkin spice goods. Fall is absolutely my favorite season. In today’s post we’re going to talk about all my favorite fall things and I’ll share some recipes, coupon codes, and more.

Fall Decorating

As the heat of summer starts to fade away and the cool weather begins to permeate the air, I love to break out my fall home decor. There is something about pumpkins, candles, and cozy textures that make my heart sing.

While other influencers may buy new decorations each year, I differ a bit and use the same things I have each year. I don’t buy all new decorations to go with what may be trending. I use what I love and what makes me feel happy and cozy in my home. I will add new items occasionally, but not often.

In regards to my design style, I like adding touches of color and texture throughout my home, but I keep it on the minimal side and focus on natural elements. I typically gather my fall decor from places like Hobby Lobby, Walmart, Target, Kirkland Home, and Amazon.

Another thing you will find in my home not only during fall but during winter as well are candles. I love burning candles throughout my home. It makes my home feel so snuggly and warm. My absolute favorite candles come from Antique Candle. I buy all my candles seasonally from them and they make the best gifts. My favorite fragrances are pumpkin spice and pumpkin bread.

Antique Candle is a Chirstian owned small business, which I love. They share on their website that their candles are made in Lafayette, Indiana with natural soy wax from domestically grown soybeans for a clean, long-lasting, and even burn. They use premium fragrance oils (hand-picked by thousands of candle testers across the U.S.) and 100% lead-free cotton wicks. All their candles are paraffin free, dye free, and cruelty free. Their hand-picked fragrances are also phthalate and paraben free.

Antique Candle has graciously shared a coupon code for my followers. Use the code GRACEANDGRIT20 when you visit their shop through this link. Make sure to go through the link provided as my code only works through this link.

You can see more of my fall decor in this IG reel or, if you’re a part of the Friends of Grace and Grit membership community on my YouTube channel, then you can check out all my fall decor for this year in this video.

Fall Foods and Recipes

Nothing else screams FALL  like pumpkin spiced foods? Trader Joes is one of our family's favorite stores to find fun and unique foods, especially during the fall season. Every fall we take our annual quest to Trader Joes for our favorite pumpkin goods. Some honorable mentions are the pumpkin bread muffin mix, apple cider donuts, and pumpkin butter. Also, take my word for it the new pumpkin body scrub smells so delicious you may want to eat it. See all my favorites in my IG reels.

This time of year, my kids love getting into the kitchen and cooking with me, but there is something exciting about pumpkin season that gets them wanting to bake with me more. Bring on the memory making.

Many of you already know that I took up learning how to make sourdough bread and it has truly blessed my life. One bonus with sourdough starter is all the recipes you can make with starter discard. One recipe we’ve used this fall already is this sourdough pumpkin cookie recipe. They are absolutely delicious and will be a staple in our home for years to come.

And finally, one of my favorite things about fall cooking is SOUPS! I love how I can easily throw everything in a crock pot or dutch oven and simmer until all the flavors meld together. Nothing says cozy like soup on a brisk autumn day. One favorite we’ve been enjoying in our family is these macro friendly soup recipes. Pair these with a freshly baked sourdough loaf and you got yourself quite a fall meal indeed.

Fall Clothing

Fall is SWEATER WEATHER. Enough said. I love cuddling up in a sweater paired with a great pair of denim. Recently I shared about a sweater haul I got from Cupshe. The sweaters from their newest collection Savana are so cozy and I can’t wait for cool weather to come to my state so I can start wearing them. The collection boasts all knits meant to mix and match and there’s something for everyone and every style. Here are the sweaters I shared on my IG reels, but I’ve shared the sweaters I purchased below as well. I did a try on in my “DITL||ROUGH STARTS||LIFE UPDATE||FALL CUPSHE SWEATER HAUL||HOMESCHOOL” YouTube video too so you can check out the sweaters there as well.  I bought all the clothing items in Medium or Large. If you guys want to save 15%, use my code Grace15 on orders $65 or more when shopping at this link. Make sure to download the Cupshe APP for exclusive perks & discounts!

I hope you enjoyed this change of pace with a seasonal post not related to homeschool. Enjoy the fall weather to come and all the wonderful memories that come with it. Until next time friends!
