Ashlee’s Winter Favorites

On my YouTube channel, I like to share seasonal favorites videos. So for today’s post, I want to share my winter favorites in written form, that way you can easily navigate to any of the products I reference. Many of the items mentioned in this post are things I received for my birthday or Christmas while a few are items I picked up for myself. All products will be linked below.

My Favorite Apparel

I have a few favorite things I love to wear that I wear every week (dare I say daily) that I need to share with you all. If you really want to treat yourself to some new apparel, start here.

Lululemon High Waisted Align Leggings

I have tried many other leggings brands throughout the years and being a fitness professional, I’ve tried lots of brands. In my honest opinion, Lululemon fits me and holds me up the best. I’m really loving this chocolate espresso color this winter season.

Jake bought me this pair for Christmas. If I could describe these leggings in one word, it’d be LOVE! I love the align legging. They are my absolute favorite and I wear them CONSISTENTLY. They are probably one of my most worn clothing items. I have many pairs, some of which I’ve had for 7 or 8 years, AND they’re still in great condition! They are pricier, but well worth the investment.

Free People Overalls

Overalls are a thing I never knew I’d love so much. They are one of my favorite 90s trends that have come back. I wear/wore the short overalls that I got from Free People all the time. It’s probably my most worn clothing item in the summer. I bought these to wear in the cooler months and I have been loving them. They are meant to be paired with a bodysuit, but you could get creative. You know they are stylish when your teenage daughter starts asking to borrow them.

The EBY Only Bra

If you’ve followed me long enough you know that Eby underwear and bras are what fill my underwear drawer. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM. I wear Eby every day because they are the most comfortable undergarments I’ve ever worn. My absolute favorite product from Eby is the Only Bra. They are constantly running out of stock for this bra because it’s that popular. They are so comfortable and supportive. They are seamless and stay in place thanks to their patented no-slip technology. This is not a bra you’ll want to rip off your body when you walk in the door from being out and about. It’s THAT comfortable.

MY FAVORITE ACCESSORIES

If you’ve followed me long enough, you know that I love accessories. Dainty necklaces, earrings, and cute bags are some of my favorite things to wear to dress up my look while keeping it simple. Here are some of my favorites lately.

Lululemon Fuzzy Backpack

My sister-in-law bought this backpack for me for Christmas and I’ve been loving it! I get compliments on it all the time and it’s been helping me pair down the things I need to put in my purse. I’m a recovering big bag mama. Using a smaller bag is still something I’m getting used to, but I really love this bag and the chocolate color it comes in.

Made by Mary Earrings and Necklace

Made by Mary is a Utah-based company that sells dainty feminine jewelry that lasts. You can shower with them, swim with them, and more. I’ve wanted this set for some time because I feel like the hoop and butterfly set is perfect for everyday wear. My husband got these for me for Christmas and I love them so much!

Little Word Bracelets

I shared about these bracelets back in December but wanted to include them here because I love their cause. Their slogan is “Little Words Project™ aims to inspire and encourage people to be kind to themselves and to pay that kindness forward, one bracelet at a time.” They sell handcrafted bracelets that are made to be worn, loved, and shared focusing on bringing self-love and kindness to each person they touch. You can wear your Little Word™, and then pass it to someone who needs it more. The founder and CEO, Adriana Carrig, shares that after years of bullying, she started making bracelets in college for herself and her sorority sisters. The wearable affirmations reminded them of their worth and got them through the tough times together. Ten years and millions of bracelets later, the Little Words Project™ community is living proof that kindness is a superpower.

MY FAVORITE SELF CARE PRODUCTS

I have a lot of self care products I love, but these were some of my favorites that I received or gave this Christmas. These would be great gifts for friends or family next Christmas or for a birthday.

Bondiboost Blowout Brush

My husband got this for me for Christmas and I have been absolutely loving it. It saves me a ton of time when getting ready in the morning. It helps keep my hair frizz-free and gives me a lot of volume when I use the blow dryer function near my roots. I think it would work on all hair types. My hair is very wavy and it works great!

ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm

I did not get this for my birthday or Christmas, but I did bring it to a White Elephant Gift exchange. The one I own is totally empty because I love it that much. It is a bit pricey but it’s worth every single penny. It smells amazing too. All you have to do is take a little bit on your finger (no water involved) and rub it all over your face and your makeup melts off. I don’t know about you guys, but when I go to wash my face, sometimes my makeup is still there. However, when I use this my face is super clean with no makeup leftover.

Poppy and Pout Lip Scrub

One of my friends got me this for Christmas and it has been amazing. In the winter, you can not go wrong with using a lip scrub. It helps to get off the dead skin and really exfoliates your lips making them super soft. The best part is the scent is marshmallow…you can’t go wrong with that. This makes a great gift for friends or family.

Anthropologie Tocca Eau De Parfum Travel Spray

I got this back in November to try out the scent and to see how much I would use. Well, I’m here to report that I use it A LOT. I have only about a third of it left. I will definitely be purchasing the full size before I run out. This smells amazing and I get compliments on it all the time.

MY FAVORITE EVERYDAY PRODUCTS

There are many products I use daily and share them below. There is a mix of different items below, but I love and use them all regularly.

Antique Candle Company

These are my ABSOLUTE favorite candles. The Antique Candle Company is a Christian small business based out of Indiana. Their candles are hand-poured using soy wax. They have seasonal scents that come out throughout the year. My favorite scent right now is spiced cranberry. It provides a wonderful scent following for the rest of the winter season without smelling like Christmas. Don’t get me wrong, I love all the Christmas scents, but after burning all of December and some of November, I’m ready to change it up. You can get 20% off using my code GRACEANDGRIT20 at this link

Home Made Happy™ Acrylic Weekly Planner Set

I recently got this set to replace my old fridge menu planner. I wanted something that had an extra blank memo board where I could write notes and keep a running list of things we need to buy at the grocery store. The set includes two boards (a weekly planner and a memo board) along with an acrylic pen holder, 8 colorful wet-erase markers, black cleaning cloth, a magnetic hook, and anti-slip/anti-scratch stickers and footpads to place on the magnets for the boards and pen holder. I use the weekly planner for listing out the week's menu. This has been a game-changer for me because my kids and husband are no longer asking me what is for dinner. All they need to do is look at the board and they find their answer. The blank board has been a life-saver because now when we run out of something, I or one of my family members writes it on that board. I no longer have to think through what we are out of or need to look through cabinets or closets because it’s already listed on the board and makes creating my grocery list a breeze.

Stanley 40 oz Tumbler

I recently received a new Stanley Cup for Christmas. I know I know, it may seem cliche for a mom to love her Stanley cups but I HONESTLY do love them. It keeps my water ice cold in the hot weather I experience in the summer. I love that the cup fits into my car cup holder. I love the feel of their straws…I know that may sound weird but it’s true. I drink so much more water when I have my Stanley Cup. The one I got was a limited-release candy cane Stanley. The funny thing was that you had to log on to the Stanley website at a specific time to purchase it. I joked with my husband about how it would fit great in my stocking, and he took the challenge. He set an alarm on his phone and got on the site at the designated time and he was able to acquire one for me. Unfortunately, that exact model is no longer available but any Stanley Cup is great!

The Everyday Bible Book

I have always wanted to read through the Bible in a year but felt very overwhelmed by the checklists and reading plans available. Instead, what I wanted was a book that had it all mapped out for me. All I have to do is open up to the date for that day and read whatever is there. It is the King James Version because there are only a few translations that I like to read from, KJV being one of them. Each daily reading goes through part of the Old Testament starting with Genesis, a Psalm, a Proverb, and then part of the New Testament starting with Matthew. It has been a wonderful way for me to get into the Word daily while also giving me a way to read through the entire Bible in a year.

Well, that’s a wrap, friends. I hope this list of my favorites gives you some ideas for gifts or to just splurge for yourself. I hope you all have a great week! Until next time.
