Books for Homeschool

As a homeschool mom, I am constantly using books to help my children learn and grow in multiple aspects of life. At times, I have used these books as resources to teach my children about different spiritual topics, or as electives. I also have books I’ve used over the summer so that my children don’t lose the information they have learned over the year. To help navigate all these wonderful resources, I’ve separated each book into four categories: “Spiritual Resources”, “Learning Resources”, “Elective Resources”, and “Summer Resources” For each list, you can click on the image or title of the book to see it on my Amazon page.

Spiritual Resources

The most important part of my mission in homeschooling my children is to help guide them in their spiritual walk and help them to know God. These resources have helped me to stretch their thinking and encourage growth in this area.

Bibles/Bible Studies/Devotionals/Journals

Picture Books

Biblical Truth

True Stories

Learning Resources

There are times I use a book to learn more about homeschooling and sometimes there are books I give to my children to learn more about a concept or skill they can grow in. This list is a combination of both these resources.

Language Arts & Math

US History

Life Skills

Health & Self Care

Planning, Record Keeping, & Testing

Education (For Mom)

Elective Resources

My kids have many hobbies and some have developed through these elective resources I’ve included in my homeschool. Challenge your students to develop new skills by including these in your homeschool.

Summer Resources

We do a year-round schedule most years, but occasionally we’ll take a good chunk of summer off to do some traveling as a family. During these more busy seasons, I like to have my kids work through these books to help keep their skills sharp.
