Books for Moms

For the first post in my book list series, I want to highlight all the books for moms. There are so many books I’ve read and for different reasons. Some were to learn more about a topic, and others were to help me grow spiritually. I’ve separated each book into two categories: “Parenting” and “Personal Growth.” For each list, you can click on the image of the book to see it on my Amazon page.

As a disclaimer, these links are affiliate links, so if you use them, you are supporting my YouTube channel and my blog.

I’ve also included links to YouTube videos or Instagram posts where I have mentioned these books.

Now onto the list.

Parenting

With my oldest of four turning fifteen this past year, you’d think that I have this parenting thing down…but there is always room to learn and grow, and if having two teenagers has taught me anything, it’s that I still have so much to learn. These books have been great resources for learning how to grow in my parenting.

Books by Clay and Sally Clarkson

The Clarksons provide excellent parenting perspectives. Here are some of the books I’ve read by this wise couple.

Books by Heidi St John

Heidi is one of those women that inspires you to be not only a better mom and Christian woman but also challenges you to be in the know and go to battle for your family, spiritually and in the world.

Teens

With two teens under my roof and two more to come, these books have been very helpful for me in this parenting season. The “Lies Girls Believe” is a mother-daughter Bible study so if you need the daughter book, click here.

Other Resources

These are just a few other books that I’ve read that I would recommend for this category of Parenting.

Personal Growth

This may sound like an interesting category, but it really does cover all the books in this section. If there is one thing you know about me, I reflect on goals each year in different areas of my life. With that reflection comes room for improvement, and sometimes I learn about ways to improve through the books I read. You’ll notice a wide variety of topics here, so I’ve tried to organize them a bit.

Books about and by Elisabeth Elliot

I have a special reverence for Elisabeth Elliot. Although she is no longer with us here on earth, her wisdom and incredible story can be found in these books.

Books by John MacArthur

John MacArthur is one of my favorite biblical teachers. His books share so much wisdom and have helped me grow as a follower of Christ.

Bible Studies and Resources

Although I prefer to read God’s word right from His book, I will sometimes work through Bible studies, or read about Christian topics I’m interested in learning more about.

Bibles & Journals

I often cycle through different journals for prayer and enjoy using different translations of the bible when studying God’s word.
